Located at an altitude of 1,850 m, in the municipality of Saint Martin de Belleville in Savoie, the resort of Les Menuires is 7 km from the resort of Saint Martin de Belleville.
The name “Menuires” comes from the coal mines worked in the past by the inhabitants of the neighbouring village, Bettex.

For many years now the architecture in the resort has retained the traditional Savoyard

style, with chalets of stone and wood. The resort of Les Menuires has the benefit of the biggest ski are in the world, Les Trois Vallées, accessible via ski runs and ski lifts.

The resort of Les Menuires consists of 8 districts linked by ski runs, walking trails or ski lifts: Brelin, Preyerand, Croisette, Fontanettes, Bruyères, Sapinière, Reberty 1850 and Reberty 2000.

 

Activities in Les Menuires :

Hiking in snowshoes or walking, cross-country skiing, ULM, outdoor swimming pool, buggy and quad circuit, fitness centres, handiski, off-piste, carving, snowblade, skwall, moguls, powder snow, freeride, sledging on inflatable sledges, 4,500 m2 sports complex (multi-activity hall, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, well-being area, squash, bodybuilding, dance and gymnastics), guided tours of Les Menuires organised by an FACIM guide (architecture, development and history of the resort), tour of Saint Martin de Belleville and the sanctuary of Notre Dame de la Vie, evening entertainment (concerts, cinema, discotheques and cabaret).

The resort of Les Ménuires also offers access to La Becca Snowpark, reached via the La Becca chairlift, at an altitude of 2,500 m.

3 main areas are open to snowboarders

  • one area for beginners
  • one area for experienced snowboarders (1 boardercross, whoops, 4 slides and handrails, together with 4 big airs)
  • a new boardercross on the Combes ski run, for all levels
 

For children :

Skiing, snowshoe walks to the Piou Piou village, sledging on inflatable sledges, La Glisse château (snow sculpture for sledging), snow scooter on a circuit with safety protection in Reberty village, roundabout. In addition the resort of Les Menuires holds the “Famille Plus Montagne” label with :

    - 1 nursery (for babies and toddlers from 3 to 30 months) at La Croisette
    - 2 mini-clubs (ages 31 months to 5 years): Piou-Piou villages at La Croisette and Les Bruyères
    - Introduction to skiing and activities from age 2½ and skiing lessons from age 4.
